I'm Dwarkesh Savaliya. I run Scalento — a holding company for ethnic wear D2C brands in India. COD-heavy, Meta-dependent, RTO-bleeding. The same profile as most Indian D2C founders reading this.
For years, Meta told me my ROAS was great. 3x. 4x. I'd scale spend and the bank balance wouldn't move. The orders came in. A third of them came back. The margin I thought I was making was fiction — the delivered net looked nothing like the reported number.
I couldn't find a tool that told me the truth. Every analytics product I tried stopped at the conversion event. None of them knew what actually got delivered. None of them showed me net margin after RTO, after shipping, after ad GST — SKU by SKU, campaign by campaign.
